New Life for the Race
Memory Verse:
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:7
If you want to win, you must begin with Christ.
You start your race when you become a Christian. Only Christians can run in God's race. John 15:5
A Christian is? A Christian is one who has been born again, having received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
Read and complete the following verse (John 3:3)
Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily I say unto thee, _____ ___ ____ ___ ____ ___, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Why must you be born again?
1. God says so. John 3:3, 5
2. God is holy.
Read Isaiah 6:3 and fill in the blanks.
H____, H____, H____, is the Lord of Hosts.
3. Man is sinful by nature and by practice.
Memorize and write out Jeremiah 17:9 and Romans 6:23

What happens when you are born again?
1. The New Birth is a New Creation.
Write out II Corinthians 5:17

2. The New Birth is a passing out of death into life.

3. The New Birth is receiving a new nature, God's nature. Read II Peter 1:4. It is Christ in you. Colossians 3:3,4; 1:27
What happened so that you can be born again?
Sin separates God from man. Sinful people cannot reach God. Romans 3:23. God provided bridge, the cross of Calvary, so that we can come to the Lord Jesus, pure and clean before Him.
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
It is wonderful to have a new life to start our race.
