Moose Crossing Theme Time Introduction

Good Morning,
  Campers!

May I tell you a little about what we do in

Theme Time?

Theme Time is a short assembly at the

beginning of each day at camp.

It isn't a Bible Study or story time.

It is a worshipful time with Bible truths,

Bible verses and songs centered around a

familiar theme.  You will enjoy the

 beautiful visuals as well.

It is a time to be quiet and thoughtful

to LISTEN to what God is saying

        especially to YOU

as Miss Sarah speaks from her heart.

You will learn about the theme and

special truths right from God's Word.

You will learn new songs that go with the theme!

You will learn Bible verses and memorize

  them each morning.

You will also notice

that the theme is woven throughout

the entire week--all the way to

    the Banquet on Friday night!

CAMPERS,  I can say that...

"I love to TELL the STORY,

'Twill be my THEME in Glory..."

     JESUS is the THEME
of my life in
   the past, present and future!
     "Redeeming Love has
  been my theme,
and shall be till I die."

                           --Miss Sarah

Midi Playing:  I Love to Tell the Story

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know 'tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

Chorus:

I love to tell the story, 'twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

I love to tell the story; 'tis pleasant to repeat what seems,
Each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God's own holy Word.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,

'Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
I love to tell the story, 'twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

- Words: A. Katherine Hankey, 1866
- Music: William G. Fischer, 1869
The lyrics are similar to those of
"Tell Me the Old, Old Story."
Both come from Hankey's original poem
"The Old, Old Story."
