                             Camp Fire Service

             It's time to gather 'round the
             camp fire
          for Testimony Time! 

                               Let's begin by singing!

Heaven Came Down

O what a wonderful, wonderful day - Day I will never forget;
After I'd wandered in darkness away, Jesus my Savior I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend - He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling, he made all the darkness depart!

Heaven came down and glory filled my soul,
When at the cross the Savior made me whole.
My sins were washed away, and my night was turned to day

Born of the Spirit with life from above into God's family divine,
Justified fully through Calvary's love, O what a standing is mine!

                     "About two and a half years ago

                     I became a Christian, but I am

                      sorry to say I did not

                        grow very much in the first year.

                       But I thank the Lord for the way

                       He has helped me to grow in the

                        Spirit here at Camp Gilead. 

                          I feel the past three weeks at camp

                      have  made up for the first year."

                     Philippians 4:13

                       from Jim, a kitchen worker

                 "I thank and praise the Lord

                          for sending me to this camp for

                           three years.  It has been a real

                           blessing to me.  But most of all

                             I thank the Lord for saving me.  I

                              pray as I leave this camp I will be a

                             shining light

                    for the Lord and grow in grace."

                     "Ever since I have been brought up

                           I have believed in the Lord Jesus,

                          and I thought that meant I was

                           saved.  But I thank the Lord

                          for bringing me to camp and

                            showing me that this did not save me.
